Spring 2010
We finished the session tied for second place and won the divisional playoffs; advancing to the cities ('states') in June. Rack'em up

2010 Summer - 38 wins
2010 Spring - 41 wins - tied for second and won playoffs. Lost Sat morning at the cities
2009 Fall - 32 wins - Last place but we got the Wild Card and were in the division playoff
2009 Summer - 31 wins - Last place but got the Wild Card and advanced to division playoff
2009 Spring - 43 wins & First Place in division - auto advanced to Cities and made it until Saturday night
2008 Fall - 46 wins & won division playoffs - advanced to second chance tournament
2008 Summer - 44 wins & lost in division playoff final
8 Balls the Game - Cheap Wins the Name
No plaques or tee-shirts will we get
We just had fun and shot like shit
To dreaded playoffs we must go
Then disappear like late spring snow
Bill was happy on the last match night
He knew "the cities" were not in sight
Captain Mike shot the best
But could he carry all the rest
He coached us well at time-outs called
And bit his lip when we hit the ball
It's all Brian's fault - from 4 to 5
He didn't care if we survived
Like driving balls from a tee
Kenny went down from 4 to 3
Mike slowed Kenny's stroke - what a change
With balls left at pockets, he'd found the range
Tom played the perfect "cheap wins" match
His opponent made two 8's and scratched
Winner Tom shook his hand
And said "Great match, what fun you had"
Ex-captain Alan started slow
Lost four matches in a row
Then his plan began to hatch
With ugly win in long fifth match
Shooting trash and balls fell in
Unashamed he took his wins
Richard was our poster child
All Relaxed and wearing smiles
If we would copy his routine
We should change our name to "Happy Team"
AJ did like accountants do
When Tax time has them all askew
Win a few and get some back
Lose a few and pay some tax
Finally at the end of play
A three-way tie made our day
Sometime later by e-mail learned
We'd won first place and cities earned
Our opponents swore and screamed unfair
That "Cheap Wins" team had beat them there
We deserve the Cities we played our game
Bill did his part - Cheap Wins our name
